A woman who had been in charge of employee credit cards for a Salina business was sentenced Friday to three years of probation and ordered to pay more than $11,600 in restitution for personal items she bought with company credit cards.

Sheila S. Crough, a former employee of KASA Industries, 418 E. Avenue B, pleaded guilty in April to a felony count of computer crime and four felony counts of criminal use of a financial card.

In Saline County District Court Friday, she told Judge Rene Young she was sorry and wants to get her life back on track.

Young said a prison sentence of 16 months, which was suspended, would give Crough “a lot of incentive to get the restitution paid back.”
