Salina man arrested on sex charges

A Salina man arrested Monday is accused of sexually molesting an underage female acquaintance over a period of years.

Gary F. Perales, 51, 629 S. Phillips, is accused of rape, indecent liberties with a child and aggravated criminal sodomy.

The arrest came after the Salina Police Department was contacted by Child Advocacy & Parenting Services, Capt. Mike Sweeney said. The girl had reported the ongoing abuse to CAPS, he said.
