A Salina man was arrested Wednesday, accused of stealing belongings from his mother, forging one of her checks and pawning her camera.

William K. Sedille, 38, 1023 E. Iron, is accused of theft for allegedly entering Mary Laflamme’s house in the 1000 block of University Place between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and stealing a .38-caliber revolver, Canon digital camera and book of checks, said Capt. Mike Sweeney.

Sedille allegedly pawned the camera at Nick’s Pawn Shop, 118 S. Broadway, for $30. He also is alleged to have forged one of her checks for $200 and cashed it at a Salina bank.

Sweeney said police arrested Sedille at the Starlight Motel, 211 E. Pacific, and recovered the revolver and book of checks.
