HOXIE — Donald Lee James, 78, of Hoxie, died Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Studley to J.E. “Jake” and Melvina Goff James. He was a member of the Hoxie Elks Lodge.
Survivors: wife, Bette; son, Mark, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two daughters, Myrna James Yoo, of Denver, and Karen Torline, of Shawnee; two sisters, Charlotte Ackerman, of Hoxie, and Virginia Ziegler, of Park; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Hoxie. Memorials: Ridgewood Manor of Hoxie, in care of the funeral home.
