Solomon teenager injured in crash
SOLOMON — A 17-year-old Solomon boy, Deven Gentry, was treated at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita after the car he was driving went over a bridge Saturday afternoon in rural Dickinson County.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Gentry was driving east on 2350 Avenue when his 1995 Oldsmobile became airborne after topping a bridge and entering a ditch.
The report said Gentry hit a ditch embankment before striking a tree.
Gentry, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the hospital by helicopter.
