Two Herington women arrested on drug charges
HERINGTON — Two Herington woman were arrested on multiple felony drug charges after the vehicle they were in was stopped by Herington police about 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Officer Michael Rooks II smelled marijuana when he stopped a car driven by Susan R. Young, 47, for having no brake lights, according to a news release from the Herington Police Department.
During a search of the vehicle, Rooks and officer Melissa Timmons found methamphetamine, marijuana, scales, baggies and other drug paraphernalia. A drug dog was brought in to search the vehicle.
Young was arrested on charges that included possession with intent to sell or deliver meth, possession of meth and possession of marijuana. Joy D. Sanderson, 41, was arrested on charges of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
