Candidate forum set for Tuesday in Salina
Salinans for Life will conduct a candidate forum from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday for local candidates seeking election to the Kansas House and the United States Congress.
The forum will be in the Prescott Room of the Salina Public Library.
The following candidates have been invited: Republican Tom Arpke and Democrat Gerrett Morris, who are running for the 69th District Kansas House seat; Democrat Phil Black and Republican Charlie Roth, who are running for the 81st District seat in the Kansas House; and Republican Steven Johnson and Democrat Don Svaty, who are running for the 108th District seat.
Also invited are Democrat Alan Jilka and Republican Tim Huelskamp, who are seeking the Congressional seat in the Big 1st District being vacated by Jerry Moran.
