Brookville man facing meth charges

A 22-year-old Brookville man was arrested Tuesday, accused of manufacturing methamphetamine and other drug-related charges.

Michael S. Bridges is accused of operating a kitchen type meth lab that the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force discovered July 15 in a camper-trailer in Brookville. No arrests were made when the lab was discovered, according to Lt. Jim Norton, task force commander.

Bridges was taken into custody on an Oklahoma warrant at a relative’s house in Brookville, Norton said. He was subsequently booked into Saline County Jail on charges connected to the meth lab, Norton said.

Norton said the Saline County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation based on tips from the public that there was a strong chemical odor near the trailer, which was being visited by a number of people.
