Windows were broken at two businesses on Broadway Boulevard late Monday or early Tuesday and a burglary occurred at one of the businesses.
A black Apple iPhone and about $30 in coins were stolen from China Nest, 540 S. Broadway, between 11 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Salina police report. A 5-by-6-foot plate-glass window was broken by two large chunks of concrete to gain access to the building.
Loss and damage was estimated at $780.
At Cam’s Barbershop, 101 N. Broadway, an officer on patrol noticed a large hole in the plate-glass window. A padlock on a door had been pried on, but entry had not been made to the business.
The damage, estimated at $810, occurred between 4 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.
