Neighbor’s fight leads to arrest, ticket
Salina police arrested a man early Saturday who had called 911 and said he had knocked out his neighbor.
Ronald D. Griffin, 53, 720 N. Third, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery after authorities determined the extent of the neighbor’s injuries, Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield said.
Alphonso Delaughter, 52, who lives next door to Griffin, was treated at Salina Regional Health Center for broken bones in his face, Mansfield said.
Delaughter, who had been drinking alcohol, went onto Griffin’s property at 8:44 p.m. Friday and refused to leave, Mansfield said. Authorities allege that Griffin kicked Delaughter in the chest and struck him multiple times in the face.
Delaughter was ticketed for trespass, Mansfield said.
