Parks and Rec to offer sewing classes
Salina Parks and Recreation is offering beginning sewing classes for those ages 10 to 14 from 10 a.m. to noon or 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Quilting Bee, 120 S. Santa Fe.
The instructor is Carol Duree.
On Thursday, students will make a tote bag. The cost is $20, plus $15 for a kit that will be available during the class.
On Friday, students will make a pillowcase. The cost is $20, plus $12 for the kit. Sewing machines and other supplies will be provided both days.
To register, go to the Parks and Recreation office, Room 100 of the City-County Building, call 309-5765, or go to the website, salina-ks.gov.
