BlackTop Nationals to turn Wichita into ultimate car, truck and motorcycle show venue

(Wichita, Kan.) The largest city in Kansas will be transformed into the ultimate car, truck and motorcycle show venue during the BlackTop Nationals set for Aug. 26-29, 2010. The event is designed to be a memorable automotive experience while raising money for Wichita-based and national charities.

More than just a car show, BlackTop Nationals will invite the nation’s top customizers and restoration experts to compete for “Grand National” recognition and a top prize of $25,000. Organizers project between 3,000-5,000 automobiles and 3,000-5,000 motorcycles for an event that will line the streets of downtown Wichita.

“We want to incorporate the best aspects of Sturgis motorcycle rally and Reno’s ‘Hot August Nights’ car show to create a national-quality event that the entire family can enjoy,” said Rick Nuckolls, BlackTop Nationals co-founder. “The fact that it will take place in the middle of the country will make it easy for people from both coasts to attend.”

BlackTop Nationals will feature:
