Donald D. Oliver

Donald D. Oliver, 77, Salina, died May 11, 2008. He was born June 3, 1930, in Norton, KS. He was a member of American Legion Post 62 and Eagles Lodge, both of Salina. He worked as a truck driver for Top Lift Trucking, Salina, and American Battery, Junction City. He was a bus driver for Junction City Transit and also worked maintenance for the Howard Johnson Motel, Salina. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly A. Logan, in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Oliver, Salina; a son, Fred Oliver, Salina; three daughters, Donetta Walton of Oklahoma City, OK, Janetta Smith of Miltonvale and Maxine Rogers of Salina; 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Maxine's home. Memorial contributions are to the Donald D. Oliver Memorial Fund. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge.
