Ronald P. Derrick ABILENE -- Ronald P. Derrick, 79, Abilene, died Sunday, May 11, 2008. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: daughter, Cynthia McMillen of Leavenworth; son, Steven of Reno, Nevada; granddaughter, Sarah Derrick; special friend, Phyllis Bates of Salina; and sisters, Ethelda Hersey of Upland, Calif., and Marilyn Davenport of Fullerton, Calif. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Danner Funeral Home, Abilene. Interment: Bethel Cemetery, north of Detroit. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
