Edwin Goeckel WASHINGTON -- Edwin Goeckel, 80, Washington, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Washington County Hospital. Edwin was born Nov. 27, 1927, near Hanover to Albert and Rose (Koehler) Goeckel. Edwin loved being a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of his labors with everyone in the Washington County community. He was a very gentle and loving person. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gilbert; and sister, Lorene. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Rosary will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday, July 21, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Washington. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, at the church. [Comment] |
