Alden Benjamin Detrixhe RUSSELL -- Alden Benjamin Detrixhe, 84, Russell, formerly of Hays, died Friday July 18, 2008. He was born Oct. 22, 1923, in Ames, to Joseph and Grace (Snavely) Detrixhe. He was preceded in death by a sister, Myra Lewis; and brother, Clinton. Survivors include his wife, Cappy, of the home; sons, Stan A. and wife Mary Hart, rural Hays, and Gene and wife Mary Elizabeth, rural Russell; brother, Arvid, Concordia; grandchildren, Tasha, Tim, Emma, Miles and Rena; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Liliana, Jack and Adalie. Cremation has preceded the service and there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary Chapel, Russell. Memorials may be given to Southwind Hospice, in care of the mortuary. [Comment] |
