Lester Ray Anderson
ALVA, Okla. -- Lester Ray Anderson, 78, of Alva died Tuesday, July 22, 2008. He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Shattuck. He worked for Exxon Mobil in the oil and gas production industry for more than 45 years.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann, of the home; daughter, Ava Gayle Purcell and husband Keith, Alva; daughter-in-law, Juneva Tunder Morton of Costa Rica; sisters, Shirley Dreiling of Great Bend, KS, and Carl June Rosin of Dallas, TX; and two grandchildren, Tejay Purcell and Tracy Purcell Lewis and husband Billy.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Plains Cemetery, north of Natoma. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell, KS.
