Woman reports theft

A woman reported to Salina police that someone took items from her house recently.

Linda Sue Melton, 62, 631 S. Third, told police Wednesday that someone took a red metal tool box in which were stored two prescription drug containers. They also took miscellaneous cuts of meats from her freezer. Reuben D. Mott, 52, 1015 N. Seventh, was a second victim of the theft, Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield said.

The loss from the theft, which happened between April 22 and May 1, was estimated at $838.
