The editor says he doesn't agree with your comment but he printed it anyway -- just for spite.

We have two such facilities: The YMCA; and there's a wading pool at the Wild Wild West Gentlemen's Club.

The Kansas House of Representatives is run by right-wing conservative Melvin Neufeld. The Kansas Republican Party is headed by right-wing conservative Kris Kobach. Conservative Tom Arpke is the top dog in the Saline County Republican Committee. Sounds like you're saying those wing nuts are loose screws.

"Speaking of car chases, how many lives were put in danger over a short stack of pancakes?"

The chase was bad. It was made worse when the perpetrator got away. (At least the PD picked up a suspect the next day.)

"It's a sad day when they tear down the pedestrian bridge over Broadway. It's like a Salina landmark. City, what a shame."

A landmark? Are you kidding? That's like calling the North Ohio Street sand pit a Kodak Photo Spot."

They're tearing down the pedestrian overpass? I no longer live in Salina, but was raised there. We lived on Marvin and I remember that bridge very well, we used it to go to Sunset Park and the local pit stop. I guess they call it progress.
