Print this story Arrest made in shoplifting case At about 6 p.m. Saturday, someone tried to shoplift $770 worth of items at Dillards, 2259 S. Ninth, according to a police report. Items included a $400 purse, $100 jeans, a $60 skirt, a $100 hair dryer, an $80 leather women's wallet and a $30 shoe decoration. There was an arrest in the case, according to the report, but the suspect's name wasn't available Sunday. Eskridge principal charged with theft ESKRIDGE -- A northwest Kansas principal was suspended and charged with misdemeanor theft after investigators said she was videotaped taking money from a teacher's purse. Kimberlee Andersen, the 47-year-old principal at Mission Valley High School in Eskridge, was charged Thursday in three separate thefts of $15, $20 and $40 in cash. Wabaunsee County Attorney Norbert Marek says a teacher at the school set up a video camera after she noticed money was missing, thinking she might catch a student. Andersen's attorney pleaded not guilty on her behalf, and she was released after posting a $500 bond. School board members in Mission Valley Unified School District 330 also passed a resolution giving Andersen notice of their intent to fire her. Man pleads guilty to sodomizing dog HUTCHINSON -- A Pretty Prairie man is convicted for a second time on charges he sodomized a dog. Twenty-year-old Joshua Brian Coman, who is already on probation for the same charge, pleaded guilty this week to misdemeanor criminal sodomy of an animal. Officers arrested Coman last month in Wichita after an acquaintance told police she saw him in her garage with her 4-year-old Rottweiler. Coman's sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday in Sedgwick County court.
