Most people avoid stealing from the mob, but perhaps stealing their photos doesn't count.
The Blind Pig tavern, 2501 Market Place, reported Friday evening that someone stole a 3-by-4 foot framed picture of Al Capone, and a 2-by-3 foot wall hanging of the Mafia family tree.
Richard Green - Abilene says....
I really appreciated Tom Bel''s recent observation on tthe State's increase in staffing at a time when our economy is finding profits very hard to make. Our citizens are strapped near the limit by energy costs, even to the point of making it a possibility that people in our state may not be able to well afford heating. It is time for our state government to get in touch and step with the reality of our economy before they continue to be a large part of the burden facing their constituency. I predict a back lash in future state and local elections if our legistlators do not take definitive action to correct this pattern. The people will win if it gets to far out of our control. Let's all let our representatives know we notice and expect fiscal responsibility. Our pockets are not ours' not theirs.
