The skies southwest of Salina will be filled with jet fighters next year when the community for the first time hosts Hawgsmoke 2008, a competition for A10 Thunderbolts. “It’s another worldwide, world-class aviation event coming to Salina,” said Tim Rogers, executive director of the Salina Airport Authority. “We’ll have Air Force and Air Force Reserve units from all over the country.”
For more on the Airport Authority meeting, read reporter Duane Schrag's story in Thursday's Salina Journal.
