Police blotter

ARSON -- The rear seat and a child's booster seat were burned in a car belonging to Victoria A. Sparrow while the car was parked at 418 Baker between 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday morning; $500 damage.

Hydrant flush

On Friday, the city of Salina will flush fire hydrants in the area bounded on the north by Crawford Street, on the south by Cloud Street, on the east by Broadway Boulevard and on the west by Interstate Highway 135.

Water in that area might become discolored, and this could cause staining of laundry. However, the water will be safe to drink. If you have any questions, call 309-5725.

Animal shelter

These animals were picked up June 3 at the locations listed and taken to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. Second. Phone 826-6535.

DOGS -- Black and white neutered male cocker spaniel with black collar, University and Phillips; black neutered male Lab, 500 block of Russell; brown and white male Lab shepherd mix, 200 block of North Penn; black female Lab shepherd mix, 200 block of North Penn.
