CIVIL JUDGMENTS -- Court grants Red Rock Lake Financial payment of more than $17,900 from Dale A. Sparks for credit card debt.

n Court sets aside judgment against Charles B. Betterley and Lori M. Betterley on a mortgage foreclosure at request of Countrywide Home Loans, which will reinstate its loan on property at 937 Highland.

CIVIL FILINGS -- Ivory L. Francois Jr. seeks damages in excess of $75,000 from Regina Calzada for injuries she suffered when Calzada's vehicle and Francois' bicycle collided on Jan. 29, 2007, on North College Street. Calzada denies fault, saying Francois was reckless and any injury or damage is the result of pre-existing conditions.

n Midwest Community Bank seeks a mortgage foreclosure against James H. Morrow II and Angela M. Morrow for property in Smolan for a sum in excess of $24,900.

n First Bank Kansas seeks a mortgage foreclosure against Terry Grahn for property at 146 Hoover Court for a sum in excess of $54,000.

n Asset Acceptance seeks payment of more than $1,900 from Adam B. Hummel for credit card debt.

n First Franklin Financial Corp. seeks a mortgage foreclosure against Jay L. Stolzenburg and Susan E. Stolzenburg for property at 415 Otto for a sum in excess of $107,900.

n Kelly Dunn Construction appeals a Small Claims Court judgment ordering the firm to pay $4,000 to Brian T. Ring. Ring claimed the construction firm built his home in 2006 and failed to repair a crumbling concrete driveway within the terms of a homeowner warranty.

n Peggy Simms seeks damages in excess of $75,000 from Ronald L. Ditty and Shanna R. Meyer. Simms states that she suffered injury while a passenger in Ditty's vehicle on June 28, 2006, when it was rear-ended by Meyer's vehicle while stopped on Interstate Highway 70 near Topeka by traffic congestion.

Animal shelter

These animals were picked up August 25 at the locations listed and taken to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. Second. Phone 826-6535.

DOGS -- Black female Schipperke, 600 block of South 11th.

CATS -- Gray and black litter of shorthair kittens (1 male, 2 female), 1200 block of Hartford.
