Santa Fe to be closed for work

On Tuesday, traffic control will be set up to detour traffic in the 500 block of North Santa Fe so that repair work can be done on a railroad crossing, the city of Salina announced Thursday through a press release.

Northbound Santa Fe traffic will be directed west on North Street to Ninth Street, then north on Ninth Street to Lincoln Street, then east on Lincoln Street back to Santa Fe. Southbound Santa Fe traffic will be detoured at Lincoln Street west to Ninth Street, then south on Ninth Street to North Street, and east on North Street to Santa Fe.

The project is expected to be completed within three days and the avenue should be reopened by Friday.
