While it's possible the parents of a young Salina girl being sought by law enforcement have taken her out of the city, Salina police are continuing to search for the child, who might be in need of medical care.

Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield said warrants were issued Wednesday for the arrest of Ramon and Adriana Perez, parents of the missing 2-year-old girl, Eunice Perez. Eunice last was seen with her parents Sept. 4, a day after she was placed in Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services custody, according to a Salina police news release.

Eunice remained in the care of her parents, although the state had custody of her, Mansfield said. Ramon and Adriana were charged Wednesday, each with one felony count of aggravated interference with parental custody after they failed to report to SRS.

Eunice has a feeding tube in her stomach and might be in need of medical care, according to the police statement.

The last known address for Ramon, 26, and Adriana, 25, is 1200 W. Crawford, Lot No. 2. They might be driving a 1999 teal-colored Chevrolet van with tag number WNE106.

Adriana is nine months pregnant, if she has not already given birth, according to the statement.

Anyone with information regarding the Perez family is asked to call the Salina Police Department at 826-7210 or Crimestoppers at 825-TIPS. Callers to Crimestoppers could be eligible for rewards of up to a $1,000 and do not have to give their names.

Very loving child says....
Eunice should never have been given back to her parents in the first place. SRS continually drops the ball on these types of cases. Yes, we want children to be with ther parents. However, sometimes whats in the best interest of the child may be not to be returned to parents as what has happened in this case. Euni is a beautiful child. She does not deserve this. I'm praying for you Euni'

I think the story of the missing girl and her parents show just how incompetnet and unwilling our police are. If they knew they were missing since Thursday last week, then a Amber alert should have been issued then, especially since she was no longer in their care. Guess Salina police are going to have to go to Mexico to get these people cause I bet thats where they went. And if it was SRS who dropped the ball same to them. They should have never been let to visit the little girl alone.
