Woman injured in one-vehicle accident

A woman from Glen Elder was hospitalized Monday after she crashed her car on U.S. Highway 24 in Cloud County.

Sharon K. Jordan, 64, was taken to Salina Regional Medical Center by the Miltonvale EMS. Her condition was unavailable Monday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jordan was driving at 2000 Jeep west on U.S. 24 around 10:30 a.m. when she fell asleep, crossed the center line and drove off the south side of the road, two miles east of the U.S. Highway 81 junction. Her car went into a deep ravine.

She was wearing her seatbelt.
