The fall season of the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission's Art a la Carte opens Friday with a wildlife demonstration from Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure.
The events are held at Robert Caldwell Plaza, between the City-County Building and the Salina Public Library. The half-hour performances begin at 12:20 p.m. each Friday through September and October. Concertgoers are invited to bring a brown-bag lunch.
In bad weather, performances are held at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts, 151 S. Santa Fe.
The schedule includes: Sept. 12, Tallgrass Express String Band; Sept. 19, Southeast of Saline High School Madrigal Choir; Sept. 26, Kansas Wesleyan University Chorale; Oct. 3, Southeast of Saline High School Jazz Band; Oct. 10, Jazz 7; Oct. 17, Patrick Bihlmaier, original vocals and instrumentals; and Oct. 24, Dan Bliss, acoustic blues.
