Woman injured in Marion County crash

GOESSEL — A Newton woman was in fair condition at Wichita’s Wesley Medical Center Thursday after being hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday in Marion County.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Dezri D. Vannest, 39, was driving north on Kansas Highway 15, about a mile north of Goessel, when her car went off the road and hit a tree.
Vannest, who was taken to the Wichita hospital by helicopter, was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol report. She was alone in the car.
