Video shows theft of $6,000 trailer

APRIL MIDDLETON
In a matter of minutes, someone pulled up to a dump trailer, hitched up to it their truck and then drove away.

Not only did the trailer not belong to that person, but unfortunately for them, their entrance and exit from the area was caught on a nearby security camera.

The video from the security camera, which was provided by the Salina Police Department on Wednesday, can be seen on this Web site. It's titled  "Do you recognize this truck?"

Police are hoping someone will be able to identify the truck and its owners from the video.

The new, $6,000 dump trailer belonging to BBC Landscaping was parked between two buildings at 516 Graves. It was taken between 6:56 and 7:01 p.m.

The video shows a dark-colored — possibly green or blue — extended cab Dodge pickup entering the area. Just a few minutes later the truck drives out of the area, this time with the trailer in tow.
