Police blotter

CRIMINAL DAMAGE -- A glass door was reported smashed Saturday at Sullivan Liquor, 837 N. Sante Fe. Damage was estimated at $500.

CAR THEFT -- A blue 1997 Ford F-150 pickup belonging to Walter Pigman was reported stolen Sunday from 211 E. Pacific. Loss was estimated at $7,900.

THEFT -- Two 12-inch speakers in a custom box belonging to Angela Sams were reported stolen Sunday from 739 Meadowbrook. Loss was estimated at $700.

Restaurant inspections

Webster Conference Center, 2601 N. Ohio -- May 6

n Rodentcide placed in a cottage cheese container lid and set on storeroom floor.

Exceptional Caterers, 219 S. Third -- May 7

n No violations. Physical facilities inspection only.

VFW, 1108 W. Crawford -- May 7

n Two pans of chicken salad in reach-in cooler outdated (April 30).

n Raw shell eggs in reach-in cooler placed over cooked chicken.

n Two live adult German female cockroaches, one in kitchen and one on floor under 3-vat sink.

n Ice machine has low temperature mold in it.

n 50 to 100 old rodent droppings in kitchen bar cabinets.

n Ice cream scoop sink continually leaked water, which overflowed and ran all over the floor. Water was cleaned and drain fixed.

n Mop sink has no backflow preventor.

n Cooked chicken and ready-to-eat shrimp on make table not cold enough.

n Eggrolls and chicken in fryer not hot enough.

n Cooked chicken, cooked pork, cooked shrimp and eggrolls in containers on make table not dated.

n Cooked chicken in reach-in cooler not dated.

n Cook handled dirty pans and then dished up food without washing hands first.

n Three-quarters full drinking glass sitting on top of open make table.

n Raw beef placed over broccoli in walk-in cooler.

n Bucket sitting in hand sink.

n Manual warewashing not sanitizing properly and had food debris in it.

n Cook handled money, then wiped hands on a dirty towel used to wipe off counter, then scooped ice for drink.

n Cook rinsed hands in prep sink.

Rendezvous Bar, 249 N. Santa Fe -- May 14

n Three-quarters full bottle of Martini & Rossi with 12 fruit flies in it.

n Manual warewashing not sanitizing properly.

Animal shelter

These animals were picked up May 17 at the locations listed and taken to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. Second. Phone 826-6535.

DOGS -- White female westie, Allen and Belmont; black and white female boxer mix, 1600 block of South Ninth; blond male Labrador, 300 block of West Claflin.

CATS -- Gray and black male shorthair tiger, 2000 block of Glenshire.
