BELLEVILLE -- Three people were injured Saturday afternoon in a one-car crash in Republic County.
According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, William Holmberg, 19, Belleville, was westbound on Kansas Highway 148 and drifted off the north side of the road. The driver lost control and entered the south ditch and rolled.
The crash happened at about 3:50 p.m., 10 miles east of U.S. Highway 81.
It's unknown if Holmberg was wearing a seat belt. He and his two passengers were taken by ambulance to Republic County Hospital, Belleville.
Passenger Jeffrey Needham, 17, Fayetteville, Ark., had to be extracted from the vehicle. It was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.
Steven Latham, 21, Republic, was wearing a seat belt.
Information on the three men's condition was not available.
