Photographer reports break-in to police

Salina Police are looking for those responsible for burglarizing a downtown Salina business over the weekend.

Bill Roenne, photographer and owner of Monarch Portraits, 129 S. Santa Fe, reported that someone stole items that included a Dell brand laptop computer, a DVD burner, portable safe, digital camera, batteries, prescription medication, other camera equipment and business checks.

Police Officer Jamie Grover said the back door was pried open to enter the business. The theft happened between 10 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The loss and damage was estimated at $4,832.
