Officials from Fort Hays State will be traveling the state to help raise awareness of the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science through informational sessions being put on in eight cities.
The two-year program is designed to bolster training for high school juniors and seniors who excel in science and math. The academy will admit about 40 incoming Kansas public high school juniors each year.
The seminars start Monday in Lawrence and Topeka and include June 9 stops in Salina and Hays, as well as June 10 sessions in Garden City and Dodge City.
Read more about the informational sessions in Thursday's Salina Journal.
