Man accused of transporting illegal aliens

Man accused of transporting aliens

Ramon Enrique Cortes-Amador, 35, was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury in Wichita on a charge of knowingly transporting illegal aliens inside the United States.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, the crime is alleged to have occurred June 6 in Ellsworth County.

If convicted, Cortes-Amador faces up to five years in federal prison without parole and a fine of up to $250,000.
