Learning Opps for Monday

Seminars on resources and training for starting a business, projecting cash flow, writing a business plan and state tax requirements are scheduled in Concordia, Belleville, Salina and Clay Center during July. They're being presented by the Kansas Small Business Development Center at Cloud County Community College.

To register for a workshop, call 1-800-729-5101, ext. 324, unless otherwise noted. All workshops require advance registration. The workshops schedule for July:

nState Tax Workshop for Contractors, 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Salina Workforce Center. Devoted to sales tax issues for businesses that provide contracting, subcontracting and repair services. Fee to attend.

nState Tax Workshop, 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Salina Workforce Center. Presented by a representative from the Kansas Department of Revenue on the basics of sales tax, withholding tax and record keeping. Fee to attend.

nMeeting the 3Ms, noon to 2 p.m. July 16 at Cloud County Community College, Concordia, 10 a.m. to noon July 23 at the Salina Workforce Center. Information about money, marketing and management to start a new business. Free with advance registration.

nThe Right Start, 3 to 5 p.m. July 16 at Cloud County Community College, Concordia. Developing a business plan and its importance to succeeding in business.

nCash Flow Made Easy, 1 to 3 p.m. July 23 at the Salina Workforce Center. Calculating sales and costs by line item to aid in understanding the future needs of a business. Fee to attend.
