Print this story The Salina Art Center announced Wednesday that Executive Director Heather Ferrell has accepted the position of excutive director of the Salt Lake Art Center in Salt Lake City. Art Center Board of Trustees president Peter Johnston said: "This is an opportunity for Heather to lead another highly regarded arts institution in a larger city that is closer to her home and family. ” According to a news release from the Art Center, Ferrell has been executive director in Salina since September of 2005 Johnston said the board of trustees will announce the appointment of an Interim director after Ferrell leaves and will appoint a committee to conduct a nationwide search for a new director.
