TOPEKA — The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene and St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria were among the eight wonders of Kansas unveiled Tuesday by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.
The eight wonders were picked by a popular vote to select the state’s most noteworthy attractions. Sebelius unveiled them during a Kansas Day celebration in the Capitol.
Six of the eight wonders selected in a statewide Kansas vote sit west of U.S. Highway 81, which is often cited as a dividing line between the state’s eastern and western portions.
