ABILENE -- A Naples, Fla., man driving a Porsche was hurt by a collision with a deer Sunday morning.
The deer went partially through the windshield, injuring Gerald W. Andrews, 56, who was taken to Salina Regional Health Center. A nursing supervisor Sunday night said Andrews was treated at the emergency room.
The collision happened at 7:53 a.m. in the westbound lane of Interstate Highway 70, a mile from the Dickinson-Saline County line, when the deer ran onto the highway, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. Andrews was wearing a seat belt.
