Pedestrian struck by pickup at Stockton

STOCKTON -- A Stockton man on foot was hit by a pickup truck in the pit area of the Rooks County Fairgrounds racetrack shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.

The pedestrian, Nicholas Floyd Horn, 48, was walking southwest when he stepped from behind a parked vehicle and was hit by the pickup driver, according to the patrol's report.

The pickup driver, Alan Neal Munsell, 47, Plainville, wasn't hurt. Two passengers in the pickup also weren't injured.

Horn was examined at the Rooks County Health Center and released.
