Police blotter

ARREST -- John W. Harper, 28, 811 Harold, was arrested Monday in connection with the Nov. 12-15 theft of a computer belonging to Erin Hickel, 2363 Chapel Ridge Apt. 8A, valued at $1,000.

THEFT -- A Dewalt cordless reciprocating saw belonging to Richard Dillard was reported stolen Tuesday from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of N. Seventh; $807 loss.

An Xbox 360, a video game and an HP laptop computer belonging to David Stroda were reported stolen Tuesday at Kansas State University at Salina; $1,559 loss.

CIVIL JUDGMENTS -- Citibank, as trustee for Merrill Lynch Mortgage Investors Trust v. Wade M. Vieira. Court grants Citibank a mortgage foreclosure for a sum in excess of $65,000.

n Ford Motor Credit Company v. John W. Hoffman and Sharolyn Hoffman. Court grants Ford Motor Credit Company judgment in excess of $23,300, but Ford Motor Credit Company agrees to stay enforcement of the judgment as long as the Hoffmans pay $250 a month, until a total of $15,000 is paid.

n Amber Bowman, as mother and next friend of Kaylee Jones v. Lloyd Meier. Court approves a settlement in which Farm Bureau agrees to pay Bowman $26,951 to cover attorney fees, court costs and medical expenses incurred by Jones as a result of injuries she suffered when a vehicle driven by Meier, in which Jones was a passenger, was involved in a collision on July 31, 2006. Farm Bureau also will pay Bowman $22,549 to deposit in a custodial account for the benefit of Jones.

n Sherri Geisler, as mother and next friend of Dominick Elrich v. Anthony Diaz, Larry Stamper, Linda Stamper, Kent Stamper and Bette Stamper, doing business as Stamper Farms. Court approves a settlement that calls for Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Company to pay Geisler $11,000 for expenses related to injuries Elrich suffered when a vehicle driven by Diaz, as part of his employment with Stamper Farms, was involved in a collision on Nov. 4, 2006. Elrich was a passenger in the vehicle.

CIVIL FILINGS -- Frank R. Quintero and Ernestine M. Quintero v. Norma J. Korbe. The Quinteros seek more than $75,000 each for injuries and damages they suffered on Oct. 31, 2005, when the Quintero vehicle and a vehicle driven by Korbe collided at the intersection of Ninth and Belmont streets.

n Stacy Wanklyn v. Velma M. Kirk. Wanklyn seeks to get the title to property at 328 W. Ellsworth. In late 2005, Wanklyn got a $37,000 loan from Kirk to go toward the purchase of the property. The property was placed in Kirk's name, but the petition indicates that it actually belongs to Wanklyn, who spent $30,000 on repairs after buying the property. Wanklyn also seeks to have the court declare a note payable to Kirk for $37,000, due when the sale of the property is complete.

n LVNV Funding, assignee of Citibank v. Richard James. LVNV Funding seeks more than $1,300 owed on a credit card.

n Worldwide Asset Purchasing II v. Kirk Humphrey. Worldwide Asset Purchasing II seeks more than $4,400 owed on a credit card.

n Beneficial Kansas v. George D. Leaton and Gwynda F. Leaton. Beneficial Kansas seeks more than $20,600 owed on a promissory note.

n LaSalle Bank National Association v. Aaron D. Clairmont and Amandy K. Clairmont. LaSalle Bank National Association seeks a mortgage foreclosure for a sum in excess of $67,500.
