Child care agency to have open house

MICHAEL STRAND
A child care referral organization that started at Cloud County Community College more than a decade ago and has grown to cover 19 counties is celebrating the opening of its Salina office on Friday.
The Early Childhood Resource and Referral Agency, located at 1508 E. Iron, will have a ribbon-cutting and open house from 4:50 to 7:30 p.m.
“We are new to Salina,” said agency director Misty Elder. She said the agency for years has been a subcontractor of the Salina-based Kansas Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies.
KACCRRA is a statewide organization, which works with the Cloud County agency and six similar ones across the state, said KACCRRA director Leadell Ediger; the two organizations are next door to each other now.
