ABILENE -- One passenger of an Abilene High School bus was injured and the driver of a pickup truck had possible injuries when a school bus full of wrestlers and the pickup crashed Saturday night.
The Abilene wrestling team was returning from a varsity tournament in Herington.
A Kansas Highway Patrol dispatcher reported that there were 25 students on the bus. The crash occurred at 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Jeep Road and 2200 Avenue, approximately two miles east of Abilene.
Dickinson County Undersheriff Gareth Hoffman said in a voice mail that there were no serious injuries to occupants of the bus and that the driver of the pickup had possible injuries.
