Boys escape injury after fall down river bank

MICHAEL STRAND

Three boys playing along the river bank Wednesday evening in Indian Rock Park escaped injury after falling down the bank.

Salina firefighters were called to the park shortly after 6 p.m., and found that two of the boys had already climbed the steep bank, while a third was still at the bottom.

The third got out after a ladder was lowered to him, and a firefighter climbed down to help. None of the three were injured.

All three boys were 13 years old, and their names were not being released.
