BELLEVILLE -- Waddell & Reed, Belleville, was awarded a grant of nearly $6,500 from the Kansas Department of Commerce's Incentives Without Walls program.
The company plans to remove plywood covering its downtown storefront, including windows and doors, to expose the historic storefront. Transom and plate-glass windows will receive new glass, and a new door will be installed. The expansion will allow the company to add a new employee.
Funding for the Incentives Without Walls program comes from the Economic Development Initiatives Fund, which is derived from proceeds from the Kansas Lottery.
