Workshop on grant-seeking planned

Workshop on grants offered at library

Kief Schaldweiler, the coordinator of cooperating collections for the Foundation Center, will present a free workshop on basic grant-seeking for nonprofit organizations from 2 to 4 p.m. July 17.

The workshop will be in the Technology Center Training Lab at the Salina Public Library.

The workshop offers an overview of the funding research process for organizations seeking grants from foundations, corporations and grant-making public charities. Schaldweiler will offer tips on how to identify funding sources, highlighting the electronic and print resources available free through the Salina Public Library.

The workshop will include a demonstration of the Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center's searchable database providing information on more than 91,000 grant-makers and more than a million grant records.

For more information, contact Angela Allen or Nancy Jo Leachman at the Salina Public Library, 835-4624, or by e-mail at aallen@salpublib.org or nancyjo@salpublib.org.
