Art in the Garden scheduled

McPHERSON -- Visual Arts Alliance of McPherson is sponsoring its eighth annual Art in the Garden fundraising events June 20 and 21.

June 20, drinks and dinner will be served in a private garden at 404 Lakeside in McPherson. Tickets are $35, which includes the next day's tour of six private gardens as well.

Reservations for the June 20 event must be made by June 13 by sending a check to VAAM, 223 S. Main, McPherson.

Tickets to the Saturday tour, which is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., are $5 a person and are available in advance from VAAM or at the gardens on the day of the tour. Garden locations are listed on the tickets. Art by area artists will be on display and may be purchased directly from the artists.

As a special attraction, patrons can hop the McPherson Trolley and, at a cost of $1 per person, ride to the garden locations. The trolley will leave the Opera House every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go toward the McPherson County Student Art Exhibit Competition.
