CONCORDIA -- Martha Schwend from Illinois will share 10 recipes at the Taste of Home Cooking School Oct. 7 at Cloud County Community College.

Doors open at 5 p.m., the preshow begins at 6:45 p.m., and the cooking school begins at 7 p.m.

Schwend will share recipes for desserts, entrees and salads, including Lava Chocolate Cake and Fragrant Indian Butter Chicken.

Each guest will receive a Taste of Home Cooking School Cookbook, a promotional gift bag and an entry in prize drawings. The grand prize is a smooth-top, stainless steel range provided by A Full House.

Tickets are $10 and are available at Essentials in Concordia or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope with payment to KCLY, 1815 Meadowlark, Clay Center, KS 67432.
