CONCORDIA — A Cloud County jury late this morning began deliberating the fate of Shannon Lewellyn, Belleville, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Douglas Lee Schmidt Jr., 30, Concordia.
Lewellyn’s trial began Monday in Cloud County District Court.
Schmidt, a heavy equipment operator for Alstom Power Corp. in Concordia, died of injuries he suffered in an altercation Sept. 8 in Concordia.
