Not pleased with Journal
I have been a subscriber of the Salina Journal since my return to Kansas in September 2005. I must report that I am not pleased with the way your newspaper conducts business for the following reasons:
n First of all, the West Coast sports scores are often omitted with the excuse the scores are too late to print. If that is the case, the Journal should be an afternoon paper instead of a morning paper. How can you restrict your news reporting to the half of the country that fits your publishing schedule?
n Like many people, I enjoy working the crossword puzzle. This morning's (July 13) edition was missing the crossword (shame on you!).
n Right or wrong, I buy a lottery ticket. Oftentimes, the lottery results are missing.
Your newspaper reminds me of a band that is playing away with a fury, but the dance floor is empty, because the music they are playing is for their own enjoyment and not for that of the dancers (the paying customers).
Finally, I'm seriously considering switching my subscription to a newspaper that does not consider any event that occurs past 8 p.m. as "too late" to print.
